Our Vision and Mission

Our goal is to foster a community and provide a voice to the undergraduate international population at Georgetown.

We were established with the goals of:

  • Fostering greater unity within the international student community through a social network based upon the common experience of studying abroad in the United States
  • Promoting greater diversity and international awareness in the university community
  • Serving as bridge between international students and the Office of Global Services.
  • Providing international students with skills and resources to excel in Georgetown.

Our divisions

ISA is comprised of an executive board who coordinate programming of events which fall under these categories:

Our social chairs plan casual events (often centered around food) which aim to allow international and American students to interact and foster friendships with each other.

Global Expo

Global Expo is our largest event of the year! We invite all cultural clubs on campus to showcase food, crafts and performances from their respective cultures to the wider campus community. It happens every spring semester!

Academic and Career

Our academic chairs plan events which aim to help international students in their academic and career goals, or events which contribute to discourse about what it means to be foreign in Georgetown and in America.

We know that sports transcends all cultures, so we plan a lot of sports-related events! Our sports chairs work hard to foster community through the shared love of sports, be it watching or participating!
